The City of Riverside is seeking professional consulting services to support a major transition to electric vehicle (EV) fleet operations across multiple city-owned sites. - Government Buyer: - City of Riverside General Services Department, Finance-Purchasing Division (Contact: Tisha Jacobs, CPPB) - Scope of Work: - Comprehensive consulting for EV charging infrastructure, including: - Planning, site assessment, and design development - Preparation of construction documents and permitting support - Utility coordination and procurement support - Construction-phase administration, field observation, and commissioning support - Project closeout services - Engineering evaluation of existing vehicle maintenance facilities for EV, CNG, and mixed-fuel operations - Project management, schedule and budget tracking, and stakeholder coordination - Funding and incentive support for grants and rebates - Products and Quantities: - 248 electric vehicles (various types: sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, buses, vans, refuse trucks, utility vehicles) - 60 internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles - 127 EV chargers (Level 2, Level 3, and 300kW 8-port chargers) - Electrical service upgrades and facility modifications (trenching, conduit, switchgear, transformers, site improvements, etc.) - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with California's Advanced Clean Fleet and Innovative Clean Transit rules - Minimum five years' relevant experience and a California-licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (Electrical discipline) - Vendor must not act as construction contractor - Support for incentive and grant funding - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; opportunity is open to qualified consulting firms with relevant expertise.
