Description

The Department of Education is proposing a revision of a currently approved information collection request related to the William D Ford Federal Direct Loan Program Repayment Plan Selection Form. This form allows Direct Loan borrowers to notify the Department of their choice of an initial fixed payment repayment plan or to request a change to one of these plans after their loans have entered repayment. The revision includes new regulatory requirements resulting from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) signed into law on July 4, 2025. Comments on the proposed revision are invited and due by August 6, 2026.
