Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is extending without change a currently approved information collection related to the Application for Civil Surgeon Designation. This collection is used to determine whether a physician meets the statutory and regulatory requirements for civil surgeon designation, including verification of medical license status and disciplinary actions. Approved physicians are authorized to complete Form I-693 for applicants' adjustment of status and are listed in USCIS's public Civil Surgeon locator. Public comments on this extension are accepted until August 6, 2026.
