This opportunity is issued by the USDA Forest Service for the installation of trailer pads and associated utilities at the Upper Baker site in Monticello, Utah. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, Intermountain Region (Region 4), CSA Intermountain 8 - Scope of Work: - Installation of new water, sewer, and electrical lines (including 2-inch HDPE water line, 6-inch sewer line, and electrical conduit/wiring) - Installation of transformer and drop-down meter - Four 50 Amp trailer service hookups and four trailer sewer hookups - Four frost-proof hydrants (Type E, pollution proof, with backflow preventers) - Asphalt apron and crushed aggregate surfacing (Grade G Road Base) - Trenching and backfilling (up to 1,250 linear feet as an option) - Clearing, grubbing, earthwork, and site preparation - Mobilization and waste material disposal - Products/Materials: - HDPE and galvanized steel pipes (AWWA C901, PE 4710 resin) - PVC sanitary waste and vent piping (NSF/ANSI 14 compliant) - Electrical conduits (HDPE, PVC, RTRC-BG) - Cast-iron cleanouts, floor drains, and other drainage specialties - Hot-mix asphalt pavement and aggregate base - Identification products for electrical systems - Quantities: - 400 linear feet each of electrical conduit/wiring and water lines - 450 linear feet of sewer lines - 4 each: 50 Amp trailer service hookups, trailer sewer hookups, frost-proof hydrants - 1 each: transformer/drop-down meter, asphalt apron - 1,250 linear feet trenching/backfilling (option) - 220 cubic yards crushed aggregate (option) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with state and county codes - Contractor must coordinate with utility companies and obtain all necessary permits - Potable water piping must be NSF-compliant; detailed chlorination and flushing required - Strict compaction and material specifications for earthwork and paving - Project is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 237110 - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; all materials must meet referenced standards.

Description

This contract is comprised of installing utility lines, connections to existing lines and connections to trailer pads. Utilities included are electrical, water and sewer. Option items included are trenching, providing and spreading gravel and installation of an asphalt apron. Water and Sewer lines and connections must be kept 10ft apart. Contractor must work with and is responsible for all communications, supplies and permits with utility companies associated. All utilities will be installed in compliance with State and/or San Juan County code.

Utilities –

Water - The new water line will be connected to the existing water line between the meter and bunkhouse. Main water line will remain same size as existing line. Existing line is a 2” poly line. New water line will be a 2” HDPE blue Poly and connect to existing. One stop and waste to be installed within 5ft of new and existing line connection.

Sewer – The new sewer line will be connected to the existing sewer line at the bunkhouse. Main line will be 6” with trailer connections being 6” to 3” Wye’s. Drainage must remain between 1/8” – ¼” per ft across the entirety of the line. Must meet state code.

Electrical – A transformer and drop-down meter will need to be coordinated and installed with Empire Electric and conduit and wiring ran from meter to the trailer pads. Contractor will be responsible for determining sizing of conduit and wiring. Must meet state code.

Option Items –

Trenching and Backfilling – Trenching will need to be 36” deep to meet frost line requirements.

                      Crushed Aggregate – Grade G Road Base for the trailer pads and roadway
