The City of Garland, through its Procurement & Contract Administration office, is seeking sealed bids for the supply and delivery of new, unused transmission hardware materials for the GP&L Newman to Walnut Transmission Line project. - Government Buyer: - City of Garland, Procurement & Contract Administration, for Garland Power & Light (GP&L) - Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Key Vendors (no substitutions allowed): - HUBBELL - PLP (Preformed Line Products) - AFL - ALUMA-FORM - BURNDY - EVERLAST - UTICOM SYSTEMS INC. - DOTTIE - THOMAS & BETTS - Products/Materials Requested (strict adherence to specified part numbers and quantities): - Transmission line hardware: turnbuckles, polymer and post insulators, clevises, shackles, clamps, connectors, yoke plates, chain links, joint compounds, deadends, jumper supports, spacers, armor rods, bolts, nuts, washers, and banding hardware - Conductors: 959.6 ACSS "SUWANNEE" (22,000 FT) - Optical Ground Wire (OPGW): AFL DNO-12669 (8,000 FT) - OPGW accessories: deadends, link plates, clamps, splice enclosures, connector kits, protection sleeves, coil brackets - Markers and accessories: aerial surveillance numbers, ground surveillance numbers, phasing markers, aluminum holders, tie wraps - Grounding and bonding: copper wire, grounding shunts, bonding wire assemblies - Unique/Notable Requirements: - No substitutions permitted; all items must match specified manufacturers and part numbers - Vendors must provide insulator cutsheets, packing slips, material certifications, and warranty information - All deliveries must be coordinated with the Owner's Material Coordinator; partial shipments allowed if clearly identified - Complete quotations for all materials required; incomplete bids will be deemed non-responsive

Description

This solicitation is a Request for Bid issued by the City of Garland for the procurement of transmission hardware materials for the GP&L Newman to Walnut Transmission Line project.
