Saskatchewan Power Corporation (SaskPower) is seeking information on hybrid power system solutions for remote northern customers: - Government buyer: Saskatchewan Power Corporation (SaskPower), Procurement Department for Distribution Modernization Department - No specific OEMs or vendors named; open to all providers of hybrid power systems - Products/services requested: - Containerized or skid-mounted hybrid power systems - Typical load range: 10–100 kW, expandable up to 500 kW - Must combine diesel generation and battery energy storage - Capable of supporting cold load pickup events (up to 200% of peak load for 30 minutes) - Designed for reliable operation in harsh, cold climates - Minimize operational burden for remote, largely unattended service - Support integration with solar arrays - Respondents should provide details on: - System architecture and modularity - Performance in cold climates - Battery chemistry and generator configuration - Service models and operational experience - Unique requirements: - Proven, commercially available solutions only - Emphasis on cold climate reliability and minimal maintenance - Information gathering only; not a solicitation or commitment to purchase

SaskPower is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to better understand commercially available, proven hybrid power system solutions capable of serving a remote customer in northern Saskatchewan following the planned removal of an existing radial distribution line. This RFI is solely for information-gathering and market-sounding purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment. Responses will help SaskPower improve understanding of system architectures, operating history, and performance in remote and cold climates, and inform potential future procurement approaches.
