The City of Lakeland is seeking qualified firms to provide Professional Environmental Risk Engineering Services under a continuing contract. - Government Buyer: - City of Lakeland (LE - Contracts office) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Products/Services Requested: - Hazardous material response, remediation, and disposal - Environmental site assessments (Phase I and II) - Asbestos survey, removal, abatement, and disposal - Surface, subsurface, and groundwater contamination assessment - Indoor air quality surveys and abatement - Storage tank assessment, removal, and closeout - Services for contaminated sites under the Florida Petroleum Restoration Program - Lead-based paint compliance - Tank installation, cleaning, and removal - Development and inspection of Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans - Coast Guard-classified Oil Spill Response Organization (OSRO) response - American Petroleum Institute (API) qualified tank inspections - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Firms must have at least five years of relevant experience - Rapid response capabilities required (within 24 hours for routine, 2 hours for emergencies) - All necessary Florida licenses and certifications must be held - Compliance with OSHA and state safety standards - Ability to provide emergency response services - Submission of relevant project experience and personnel qualifications - Contract is for three years with two optional one-year renewals; work assigned on a task authorization basis

Description

The City of Lakeland is seeking experienced and qualified environmental firms specializing in hazardous material response, remediation, disposal, environmental site assessments, asbestos survey removal/abatement, water contamination, indoor air quality surveys, storage tank assessment and removal, spill prevention, and related services. The scope of work will be determined on an as-needed basis and may include emergency response activities. Firms must have a minimum of five years of experience and demonstrate the ability to respond promptly to routine and emergency work. The contract work will be assigned on a task authorization basis, and firms must provide relevant project experience and qualifications.
