This opportunity involves major renovation and demolition work at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, NC, with a focus on integrating advanced building automation and control systems. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic, Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) Cherry Point - OEMs and Vendors: - Johnson Controls International (JCI) is the specified OEM for programmable digital controllers (Metasys product line) for Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS) - Products/Services Requested: - Construction services for: - Renovation of Building 286 (comprehensive architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and telecommunications upgrades) - Renovation of Building 497 - Demolition of Building 298 - Procurement and installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for Building 286 - Building automation and control systems: - JCI Metasys programmable digital controllers (including Network Control Modules, Network Appliance Engines, Extended Digital Controllers, Variable Air Volume Modular Controllers, Unitary Controllers, Field Equipment Controllers) - Mechanical and electrical equipment: - Electric water heaters (tank and tankless) - Domestic hot water recirculating pump - Electric unit heater - Multiple exhaust fans - Ductless split system air handling units and condensers - Condensate pump - Dedicated Outside Air System (DOAS) units - Heat recovery heat pumps - Branch controllers for VRF system - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All FRCS controllers must be JCI Metasys and compatible with the Cherry Point Facility Related Control Systems (CPFRCS), programmed with government-licensed JCI Metasys software - Emphasis on cybersecurity, standardization, and interoperability for building automation - Compliance with UFC, NFPA, IBC, and other relevant codes and standards - Detailed requirements for hazardous waste management, ground stabilization, and erosion control during construction and demolition - Only pre-selected General MACC contractors listed in the RFP cover letter are eligible to submit proposals
