Franklin County, New York, is seeking contractors for the turnkey installation of four Musco monopole towers as part of a broadband fiber and wireless infrastructure expansion project. - Government Buyer: - Franklin County Purchasing Department, with involvement from the Towns of Constable and Fort Covington - OEMs and Vendors: - Musco Lighting LLC / Musco Wireless Structures (primary manufacturer of monopole towers) - Tarana Wireless (antennas) - Aviat Networks (microwave dish) - Products/Services Requested: - Four 95-foot galvanized steel Musco monopole towers (Musco 120C Type, modified to 95 ft) - Delivered to Franklin County DPW yard, then transported and installed at four sites (Burns-Holden, Trout River, Stebbins, Little Briggs) - Includes all associated hardware, climbing facilities, grounding, conduit stubouts, and mounting equipment - Drilled shaft foundations (4-foot diameter, socketed at least 10 feet into bedrock) - Antennas and wireless equipment: - Three Tarana G2 BN antennas per tower - Three 3-foot diameter parabolic microwave dishes per tower - One Aviat WTM 4000 microwave dish per tower - Utility meter, fiber distribution box, and equipment cabinet (RBx-HMC-X10MS22L6) - Services: - Unloading, handling, and transport of Musco Poles from DPW yard to sites - Complete installation of poles, foundations, and all associated equipment - Compliance with Musco's approved installer requirements - Site restoration, traffic control, and adherence to industry standards (TIA-222-I-2023, NYS Building Code 2025) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Only contractors on Musco Lighting LLC's approved installer list are eligible - All work must comply with strict structural, geotechnical, and safety standards - Foundation design must be based on site-specific geotechnical analysis and meet seismic/wind load requirements - Project supports expansion of broadband and wireless access in unserved/underserved areas

Description

Franklin County is soliciting bids for the installation of Musco Poles as part of a fiber construction project. The scope includes delivery acceptance, unloading, handling, and installation of pole foundations, poles, associated hardware, aperture, climbing hardware, and stacking. The Musco Poles will be delivered to the Franklin County DPW yard, and the contractor is responsible for transporting them to each site. The contract term extends until December 31, 2027, and bids must be submitted by July 27, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
