The U.S. Air Force at Misawa Air Base, Japan, is seeking a contractor to design, install, and manage a comprehensive Managed Wi-Fi system for 11 dormitory buildings, a Dorm Management Office, and 5 outdoor grill/patio areas. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 35th Contracting Squadron (35 CONS PK), Misawa Air Base, Japan - Scope of Work: - Design, furnish, install, configure, test, and activate a Managed Wi-Fi system - Coverage for approximately 1,031 rooms and 38 common areas across 11 dorms, plus 5 outdoor patio areas - Includes fiber, conduit, cables, hardware, software, network setup, and training - Outdoor areas require weather-resistant equipment and enclosures - Performance Requirements: - Minimum 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds per user - Content filtering and multi-tiered service model (government-funded base tier, optional user-paid premium tiers) - 24/7/365 support and network monitoring - Minimum 2-year warranty on all equipment - Ongoing managed services, including maintenance, help desk, and equipment lifecycle management, available as option years - Notable Requirements: - Mandatory site visit for interested vendors - Contractor must demonstrate technical expertise and capability - Installation, configuration, testing, and activation must be completed within 90 days of Notice to Proceed - No specific OEMs or vendors are named, but solutions must include all necessary hardware and software for a managed Wi-Fi system.

Description

The United States Air Force, 35th Contracting Squadron, Misawa AB, Japan, is seeking potential sources for installation and service provision of Campus internet/Wi-Fi in multiple dormitory buildings and designated outdoor patio areas as stated on the attached PWS. This requirement will support the installation 24 hours a day/seven days a week/365 days a year (24/7/365). The North American Standard Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code anticipated for this acquisition is 517112 and the Product Service Code (PSC) is DG11.

A mandatory site visit will be scheduled during the solicitation phase of the requirement in the future. All interested parties will be required to attend the site visit to be considered for award. 

Documentation of technical expertise and capability must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition (see attached PWS). It is imperative that business concerns responding to this sources sought articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately.
