NASA Glenn Research Center is seeking to procure specialized vacuum lid thermocouple feedthroughs for laboratory use. - Sole source procurement to Douglas Electrical Components Inc. - Six vacuum-rated thermocouple feedthroughs required - Must be compatible with MS3476L16-26P (vacuum side) and MS3476L16-26S (atmosphere side) connectors - Each feedthrough must have 13 pairs of #20 AWG contacts pinned for type E thermocouple alloys (Chromel and Constantan) - Must be vacuum rated with leak rate ≤1x10-8 cc/sec - Potted to a 4.5" stainless steel Conflat flange - Includes mating connectors for both vacuum and atmosphere sides - Delivery required within 12 weeks of purchase order - Procurement uses commercial item procedures under FAR Part 12 - NAICS code: 334519 - Interested parties may submit capability statements, but only Douglas Electrical Components Inc. is considered capable - Performance location: NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, OH

Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Vacuum lid thermocouple feedthroughs. 

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to DOUGLAS ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS INC dba DOUGLAS ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS INC 5 Middlebury BLVD  Randolph, New Jersey 07869-1112, United States   under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that DOUGLAS ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS INC dba DOUGLAS ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS INC is the sole provider of Vacuum lid thermocouple feedthroughs.

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Glenn Research Center (GRC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is  334519.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 7/9/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
