Description

The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Design & Construction group intends to contract with one architectural firm specializing in historic restoration and rehabilitation projects. These projects may include historic state buildings such as the NYS Capitol and Empire State Plaza, office buildings, armories, and various state-owned institutional facilities, many of which are National Historic Landmarks or listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The majority of projects will involve rehabilitation of existing facilities. The firm must have strong design skills, extensive knowledge of architectural history, experience with public sector restoration projects, and the New York State Historic Preservation Act Section 14.09 consultation process, along with resources for field investigations, testing, code analysis, and document preparation.
