This opportunity involves comprehensive HVAC system maintenance and environmental compliance services at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic, ROICC Camp Lejeune - U.S. Marine Corps, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Mechanical Design Branch - Environmental Management Division, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or commercial vendors are named in the documents - Products/Services Requested: - Heated chemical cleaning, flushing, and passivation of chilled water closed-loop systems for Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQs) - Multi-phase process: isolation and volume testing, heated circulation with alkaline phosphate detergents, terminal unit circulation, fresh water flush, and passivation with sodium sulfite - Deliverables: water testing reports, permanent mechanical room signage, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) placement - Strict compliance with safety, environmental, and base access controls - Backflow preventers (reduced pressure principle type, AWWA C511 compliant) - Utility locating services by a third-party, independent provider - Asbestos hazard abatement in accordance with Section 02 82 00 - Environmental management and hazardous waste disposal services - Environmental compliance and sustainability - Proper hazardous waste disposal with manifesting - Weekly hazardous waste storage inspections - Contingency planning for hazardous material spills - Training services - Comprehensive training for facilities management specialists, building maintenance personnel, and building occupants on system operation and maintenance - Environmental compliance training for contractors - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Multi-phase chemical cleaning and passivation with specific chemical agents - Zero unauthorized discharge and strict environmental controls - Permanent signage and documentation deliverables - Training must be tailored to specific systems and include both classroom and field instruction - All work must comply with federal and state environmental regulations and base-specific safety protocols
