Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools is seeking bids for a turnkey greenhouse construction project at Walkertown High School. - Government Buyer: - Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System, Capital Projects Coordinator - OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers): - Atlas Greenhouse LLC (Grand Peak Series specified) - Rimol Greenhouse Systems (approved equal) - Nexus Corporation (approved equal) - Other manufacturers may be considered if full engineering documentation is provided - Products/Services Requested: - Greenhouse structure, approximately 24 ft x 36 ft, minimum 8 ft under-gutter height - Engineered galvanized steel framing (ASTM A500 compliant) - Includes column posts, rafters, truss system, roof purlins, and end wall framing - Complete turnkey installation: all labor, materials, equipment, permits, inspections, supervision, transportation, and cleanup - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Design must be based on Atlas Grand Peak Series or approved equal with full engineering documentation - Structure must comply with all North Carolina building codes and OSHA safety standards - Shop drawings required for approval - Contractors must provide proof of insurance and proper North Carolina licensing - Performance and payment bonds required for projects over $150,000 - At least 10% participation from Minority/Women/Disabled Business Enterprises (MWDE) is encouraged - Contractor responsible for all permits, site coordination, and utility protection
