Establishment of ANCHOR-CI Advisory Body for Critical Infrastructure Resilience

This notice announces the establishment of the Alliance of National Councils for Homeland Operational Resilience--Critical Infrastructure (ANCHOR-CI) by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), through the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). - Government Buyer: - Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) - Purpose: - Establishment of ANCHOR-CI as an advisory body to enhance national critical infrastructure and cyberspace resilience - ANCHOR-CI will provide advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Homeland Security via the CISA Director - Membership and Structure: - Composed of critical infrastructure sector, cross-sector, regional, and industry councils - Diverse membership representing a cross-section of expertise - Located within CISA, which will provide funding and administrative support - Unique Requirements: - Exempt from the Federal Advisory Committee Act due to the sensitive nature of its work - Two-year term for the advisory body, with possible extensions for additional periods up to two years each - Facilitates exchange of best practices and collaboration with Sector Risk Management Agencies - No OEMs, vendors, products, or services are being procured in this notice

Description

The Department of Homeland Security, through the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), is establishing the Alliance of National Councils for Homeland Operational Resilience--Critical Infrastructure (ANCHOR-CI). This advisory body is composed of critical infrastructure sector, cross-sector, regional, and industry councils. It provides advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Homeland Security via the CISA Director to ensure a coordinated national effort to foster a secure and resilient critical infrastructure and cyberspace, exchange best practices related to technical assistance, and maintain mechanisms for collaboration with Sector Risk Management Agencies. ANCHOR-CI is located in CISA, which will provide funding and administrative support. The advisory body is exempt from the Federal Advisory Committee Act due to the sensitive nature of its work.
