Description

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone on certain waters of the Potomac River near Fairview Beach, Virginia, to ensure safety during a fireworks display on July 11, 2026. The safety zone prohibits persons and vessels from entering unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Maryland--National Capital Region or a designated representative. The safety zone will be enforced from 8:15 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on July 11, 2026, or on July 12 if the event is postponed due to inclement weather. The zone covers all navigable waters within a 600-foot radius of the fireworks discharge barge located approximately 700 feet from the shoreline.
