Description
Rivian Automotive, LLC has determined that certain model year 2022 Rivian Electric Delivery Van motor vehicles do not fully comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208 regarding occupant crash protection. Rivian filed a noncompliance report and petitioned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for a decision that the noncompliance is inconsequential to motor vehicle safety. The noncompliance involves a label displaying vehicle clearance height affixed on the same side of the sun visor as the air bag warning label, which is not compliant with the standard.
