Description

This solicitation is for an Application/Software Architect, Level 3, to support the Reduction of Technological Debt in Legacy PHP and C Applications for Library and Archives Canada. The contractor will provide architectural leadership, technical governance, strategic direction, and modernization planning for mission-critical archival applications and supporting infrastructure. Responsibilities include assessing legacy applications, identifying technical debt, defining modernization strategies, and ensuring solutions support business continuity and improve security, maintainability, scalability, interoperability, accessibility, and operational sustainability. The contract duration is 24 months from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2028, with an estimated effort of 500 days.
