MTA - NYC Transit Solicits Wholesale Electric Power and Ancillary Services

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) - NYC Transit (NYCT) is seeking proposals for the supply of wholesale electric power and related ancillary services for its operations. - Government Buyer: - Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) - NYC Transit (NYCT) - Products/Services Requested: - Wholesale electric power supply for multiple MTA account groups - Ancillary electricity services as required by NYCT - Flexible contract structures: firm, fixed price full requirements; firm fixed price with pass-through; index price contracts (LMP Index Pricing); block and index price contracts - Potential for green energy or other specialized products at MTA's discretion - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors named in the solicitation - Past similar contracts have involved major utility providers such as Constellation - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with all relevant utility tariffs and NYISO/NEISO rules for third-party suppliers - Ability to offer various pricing structures and potentially green energy products - Seller(s) must be able to serve all MTA account groups under the terms specified - Estimated Contract Value: - Between $1 million and $5 million - Contract Term: - Five-year base period with three one-year option periods

Description

The selected Seller(s) will sell Electrical Power Supply Service to the MTA for use by the MTA for the applicable Account Group(s) pursuant to the terms and conditions of the bid and relevant utility tariffs. The Seller must comply with applicable utility tariffs and NYISO or NEISO approved rules for third party suppliers. Electrical Power Supply Service may be provided at firm fixed price full requirements, firm fixed price with pass-through, index price contract, or block and index price contract. The MTA may also request green energy or other products at its discretion.
