(equipment supplier) - Landscape Structures (playground equipment manufacturer) - Products/Equipment Requested: - Free standing play structures for ages 2-5 (2 units) and 5-12 (1 unit) - Swings, spinners, and various playground components (furnished by O'Brien & Sons Inc., manufactured by Landscape Structures) - Poured-in-place rubber-urethane playground surfacing - Chain-link fencing (PVC coated, black) - Concrete foundations and materials - Erosion control materials (straw wattle, silt fence) - Drainage materials (HDPE pipe, precast manholes/catch basins) - Hot mix asphalt pavement for sidewalks/courts - Court surfacing and painting (acrylic) - Flexible porous paving for tree pits - Irrigation system (pump, control panel, sprinklers, valves, controllers, wiring) - Picnic tables and other site furnishings - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All playground equipment must meet ASTM, ADA, and IPEMA standards - Contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment for installation - Two-year warranty on labor and workmanship required - Emergency response within 2 hours and completion of scheduled work within 2 weeks - 5% bid deposit, 50% payment bond, and 100% performance bond if required - Project includes site restoration, grading, and drainage improvements

Description

The Town of Needham is soliciting sealed bids for the installation of playground equipment at Eliot Playground. The bid package is available starting July 2, 2026, at the Public Works Department's Administration Office or online via the town's website. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 9, 2026, at the Eliot School, and the deadline for bid submission is July 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Bids will be publicly opened after the deadline, and the town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive minor informalities.
