Description

The Geological Survey of Canada of the Geoscience and Earth Monitoring Sector of Natural Resources Canada is conducting a hydrogeological characterization project in southern Ontario's Lower Grand River watershed. The project involves drilling boreholes at four sites, with an option for three additional sites, to create environmental monitoring wells. These wells will assess sediment and bedrock composition and collect groundwater samples, with drilling depths around 50 meters, potentially up to 65 meters depending on budget. Drilling is scheduled to begin in the third week of September 2026, with a contract duration of six months.
