The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is seeking to procure short-barreled rifles (SBRs) and related accessories for its Protective Operations Division. - Government Buyer: - Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) - Protective Operations Division / Acquisition Services Division / Procurement Division - Products and Quantities: - 10 complete 11.5-inch 5.56mm NATO short-barreled rifles (SBRs), each with: - 1 quick-adjust two-point sling (high-strength nylon webbing, durable hardware) - 2 quick detach (QD) sling attachments per rifle - 10 Magpul 30-round polymer magazines (or compliant equivalents) per unit - Product Requirements: - SBRs must be modular, optimized for protective services, rapid response, and counter-assault missions - Must meet stringent reliability, accuracy (sub-MOA), and durability standards (5,000-round endurance) - Accessories must be compatible with carbines/SBRs and support high operational demands - Notable Requirements: - Delivery required within 90 days of order to FERC in Washington, DC - Procurement is unrestricted under NAICS 332994 (Small Arms Manufacturing) - Firm-Fixed-Price contract, awarded via Lowest Price Technically Acceptable process - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; Magpul is referenced as a standard for magazines, but compliant equivalents are acceptable

Description

The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) intends to procure short-barreled rifles (SBRs) and accessories in accordance with the attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. Please see the attached Request for Quote and Statement of Work attachment for specific details. Questions for this requirement are due no later than 12:00 PM EST on July 7, 2026 to christina.nortey@ferc.gov. Quotes are due by 12:00 PM EST on July 13, 2026.
