Jefferson Lab, managed by SURATech, LLC for the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking a subcontractor for a comprehensive water treatment program for its cooling towers and closed loop systems. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab) - Managed by SURATech, LLC - Scope of Work: - Supply water treatment chemicals for cooling towers, chilled water, and hot water systems - Provide and handle all chemicals and miscellaneous water treatment equipment - Deliver consulting services to control scale, corrosion, microbiological growth, and slime in heat transfer equipment - Perform routine water testing, equipment inspection, maintenance, and monitoring of chemical program effectiveness - Period of Performance: - One base year with four option years (up to five years total) - No specific OEMs, vendors, part numbers, or purchase quantities are specified - Notable Requirements: - Emphasis on minimizing maintenance costs and improving heat transfer efficiency - Routine system inspections and consulting are integral to the program

Description

Sources Sought for subcontractor to provide a comprehensive water treatment program for cooling towers and closed loop systems at Jefferson Lab.  The Subcontractor shall provide the chemicals, the handling of all chemicals, miscellaneous water treatment equipment, and consulting services as required for control of scale, corrosion, microbiological growth and slime in all heat transfer equipment and associated systems.  These systems include the cooling tower systems, chilled water systems, and hot water systems.  The scope includes routine testing of system water, inspection of equipment, maintenance of equipment, monitoring of chemical program effectiveness, and related consulting services.
