Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce has determined that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of silicon metal from Australia. The investigation period covers January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024. The determination includes subsidy rate calculations for the producer Simcoa Operations Pty, Ltd. and assigns a rate of 32.57 percent ad valorem. The scope covers all forms and sizes of silicon metal containing at least 85.00 percent but less than 99.99 percent silicon, excluding semiconductor grade silicon.
