This solicitation seeks bids for the construction and improvement of the D.T. Villareal Lift Station and associated wastewater infrastructure in Hidalgo County, Texas. - Government Buyer: - Hidalgo County Urban County Program, in partnership with the Texas Department of Agriculture - Purchasing Director: Ignacio Amezcua, MBA, CTCM, CTCD - Project Scope: - Demolition of the existing grinder lift station (excluding wetwell) - Installation of two submersible chopper pumps (Crane/Barnes Pumps, Vaughn, or equal) - Installation of fiberglass manholes and wetwells (ASTM-compliant, chemical-resistant) - Ductile iron and PVC sewer pipes (including Protecto 401 lining, Ceramawrap epoxy coating, and SDR 35/26 solid wall pipe) - Valves and appurtenances (eccentric plug valves, check valves, air release valves, all with 316 stainless steel hardware) - Construction of pressure-treated wood fencing (minimum 8 ft high), double swing gates, and hot-dip galvanized steel posts - Roadways and paving (bituminous paved roadways, compacted caliche base, asphaltic concrete surface) - Reinforced concrete structures (minimum 3000 psi) - Miscellaneous metals, metal gratings, and cover plates (aluminum alloy, stainless steel fasteners) - Shop coating and painting (Tnemec or Carboline products for primers and coatings) - OEMs and Vendors: - Crane/Barnes Pumps - Vaughn (or equal for submersible chopper pumps) - Tnemec (shop coating) - Carboline (shop coating) - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Rates, Texas State Prevailing Wage, and federal labor standards - Section 3 and WMBE participation encouraged - Environmental protection and regulatory compliance - Bid security of 5% required - Liquidated damages of $500 per day for late completion - All products must meet ASTM, AWWA, and TCEQ standards - Shop coating and painting must use specified brands - All hardware exposed to wastewater must be 316 stainless steel

Description

This solicitation is for the construction of a new lift station and associated wastewater infrastructure improvements in cooperation with North Alamo Water Supply Cooperation. The project includes installation of one new lift station with two submersible water pumps, 1,600 linear feet of four-inch force main, concrete pad, electrical work, piping, fencing, paving, and all related appurtenances. The work is located on Villareal Ave, San Carlos, Texas. Bidders must submit sealed bids by July 29, 2026, and comply with prevailing wage requirements and other federal and state regulations.
