Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone on the Monongahela River from mile marker 127 to 127.5 on July 4, 2026, from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. This safety zone is to ensure the safety of life during a fireworks display by prohibiting entry into the zone unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Pittsburgh or a designated representative. The rule is issued under the authority of 46 U.S.C. 70034 to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from hazards associated with the fireworks display.
