The Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) is applying for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) State Pilot Program for Treatment for Pregnant and Postpartum Women (PPW-PLT). The grant aims to strengthen and expand the state's ability to provide integrated, evidence-based substance use disorder and maternal mental health services for pregnant and postpartum women and their families. Funding will support family-based services to improve maternal and infant health outcomes by addressing co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions through comprehensive screening, treatment, recovery supports, and workforce development in a non-residential setting.
