Summit County Lands and Natural Resources is seeking a qualified contractor to rehabilitate the existing rail car bridge crossing East Canyon Creek near Big Bear Hollow along East Canyon Road. The project includes railing upgrades, bridge deck replacement, bearing seat upgrades, abutment upgrades, welding of railings and gates, vehicle approach modifications, abutment protection, signage installation, and a maintenance and warranty plan. The bridge will provide public recreational pedestrian access and occasional emergency egress for Type 3 Engine wildland fire trucks. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for July 8, 2026, with proposals due by July 17, 2026.
