The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is seeking a contractor to upgrade and repair the Fire Alarm Suppression System at the Fort Peck Juvenile Detention Center in Poplar, Montana. - Government Buyer: - Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Rocky Mountain Region Office, Branch of Facilities - BIA Central Contracting Office - Scope of Work: - Replacement of approximately 120-135 detention-grade fire suppression system sprinkler heads - Upgrade of the master control unit and associated components (control valves, check valves, backflow preventers, line flushing valves, drainpipe fixtures, air compressors, jockey pumps, fire pumps, and blocked pipeline sections as needed) - Installation of detention-grade fire extinguisher wall-mounted units at existing locations - Upgrade and repair of heat and smoke detectors - Inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade services to ensure full operational status and compliance with NFPA codes - Training session for up to 30 detention personnel, including user manuals and digital copies - Requirements: - All system components must be nonproprietary - Compliance with NFPA codes and Buy American construction material requirements - Security requirements including background checks for contractor personnel - Proper disposal of waste and documentation provision - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers are mandated; the system must be nonproprietary - Targeted at Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE)
