Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to extend the period of performance, on a single source basis, of the Navigation Technical Assistance II (NAVTAC II) contract DTFAWA-17-D-00013, with Advanced Management Technology, Inc. (AMT), a Tetra Tech Company, located in Arlington, VA. This IDIQ extension is for 1 year. This extension will utilize single source procedures.

In accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Procurement Guidance T3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a single source when it is determined to be in the best interest of the FAA. AMT is the only source with specialized experience and combination of technical knowledge, operational experience, and institutional familiarity with FAA Navigation Programs who can also continue providing uninterrupted support services to Navigation Programs. This expertise is critical to the maintenance and sustainment of legacy navigation systems and deployment of Performance Based Navigation amongst other priorities. AMT’s expertise and situational awareness cannot be replicated in a short-term transition to another vendor.

This announcement is for informational purposes only and is not a Solicitation/Screening for Information Request/Request for Proposal. This extension will be awarded to AMT and is not available for full and open competition.
