In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) 3.2.1.3.11.1 - Public Announcements, the FAA has awarded Contract 693KA7-26-C-00059 to L3Harris Technologies, Inc., 1025 West NASA Boulevard Building A, Melbourne, Florida 32919, in response to Screening Information Request (SIR) 693KA7-24-R-00010, Surveillance and Broadcast Services (SBS) II.
The SBS II program provides critical and essential surveillance and situational awareness services to aircraft, vehicles and automation systems using Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) technology to deliver traffic and weather data to both pilots and air traffic controllers. ADS-B is an advanced surveillance technology that combines an aircraft's positioning, aircraft avionics and ground infrastructure to create accurate surveillance interface between aircraft and air traffic control.
This contract is a hybrid service contract primarily Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) with several Time and Materials (T&M), and Cost Plus Fixed-Fee (CPFF) Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). The term of the SBS II contract consists of a five (5) year base period, one (1) three-year option period, one (1) two-year option period, and two (2) five-year option periods, for a total of 20 years, if all options are executed. The total value for the five-year base period of this contract is $913,429,401.00.
