Description
The Victorville Water District is implementing the Turnout 5 Project to construct the District's third connection to the Mojave Water Agency's Regional Recharge and Recovery (R3) system. The project includes installation of a connection to the R3 pipeline along Mesa Street, construction of approximately 1.25 miles of 24-inch diameter mortar-lined and coated welded steel water main, and construction of a new metering facility at the Amethyst Pump Station. This project will enable the City to utilize R3 water as a supplemental water supply and may also be used for blending with groundwater to reduce arsenic concentrations and meet regulatory requirements.
