The USDA Forest Service, Coronado National Forest, is seeking a contractor for the Arivaca Abandoned Mine Lands Safety Closures project in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Coronado National Forest - Scope of Work: - Remediation and safety closure of 60 abandoned mine features - Tasks include: - Wildlife exclusion at multiple mine sites (part numbers: CN-47, CN-11, CN-06, CN-51, CN-54, CN-05, CN-57, CN-59, CN-59b, CN-59c, CN-59d, CN-20, CN-02, CN-27, CN-45, CN-26, CN-44, CN-40, CN-09, CN-43, CN-37, CN-61) - Closure using polyurethane foam (PUF) at various sites (same part numbers as above plus CN-32) - Installation of bat grates and cupolas (part numbers: CN-15, CN-56, CN-16, CN-16b, CN-16c, CN-66, CN-60, CN-64, CN-65, CN-22, CN-18, CN-48, CN-39, CN-29) - Closure with barbed wire fence (part numbers: CN-63, CN-49, CN-24, CN-03, CN-07, CN-23, CN-28, CN-34, CN-04, CN-62, CN-58 BWF with smooth bottom, CN-52, CN-46, CN-41 BWF with Smooth Bottom, CN-31, CN-25, CN-19, CN-50, CN-30, CN-30b, CN-17, CN-17b, CN-53) - Products/Services Requested: - Each closure task is a separate line item, typically with a quantity of 1 per site - Unique Requirements: - Emphasis on physical hazard mitigation and wildlife protection - Use of specialized closure methods (PUF, bat grates, fencing) - No specific OEMs or commercial product brands are named in the solicitation - Set aside for small business concerns under NAICS 562910

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes only the solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 127EAV26Q0068 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Arivaca Abandoned Mine Lands Safety Closures to remediate physical safety hazards for 60 abandoned mine features within the Arivaca Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) Remediation Project.  The mine features are located within the Nogales Ranger District (RD) of the Coronado National Forest in Santa Cruz County, Arizona.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 562910  The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
