Description

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters on a portion of Lake Michigan and the Michigan City Harbor in Michigan City, Indiana. This safety zone is necessary to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by a fireworks display. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Lake Michigan, or their designated representative. The safety zone will be enforced from 8:45 p.m. through 9:45 p.m. on July 4, 2026, covering an 800-foot radius around the fireworks launch position.
