Description
The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) at the Department of Justice (DOJ) is submitting a request to revise and extend the existing information collection related to the TitleCertification and Release of Records (Form EOIR-59). This form is used to authorize the disclosure of information related to cases or proceedings before EOIR. The collection is voluntary and primarily used to standardize and streamline record requests pursuant to the Privacy Act and FOIA. The EOIR is making substantive and non-substantive changes to improve clarity and processing of the form. Public comments are requested by August 31, 2026.
