The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has announced the creation of a new System of Records for its Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Office (SHARP): - Purpose: Centralizes and manages records related to sexual harassment and assault inquiries, allegations, and reports involving CIA personnel and eligible individuals - Records include: - Case management and tracking - Dispositions and outcomes - Guidance and reporting to CIA leadership, stakeholders, and oversight bodies - System supports: - Facilitating reports and inquiries - Statistical analysis and compliance with federal laws - Notification requirements - No products, services, OEMs, or vendors are being procured or requested - Notice is issued in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and federal regulations

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is issuing a notice of a new System of Records Notice (SORN), CIA-46 Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Office (SHARP) Records. This system covers records related to the assessment, processing, and tracking of sexual harassment and sexual assault inquiries, allegations, and reports within the CIA. It includes case management, dispositions, guidance, and reporting to CIA leadership, stakeholders, and oversight bodies. The notice is effective upon publication with a 30-day comment period ending July 31, 2026.
