The City of Georgetown is seeking bids for the installation, operation, and demobilization of a PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) pilot study at the San Gabriel Water Treatment Plant. - Government Buyer: - City of Georgetown, Purchasing Department, San Gabriel Water Treatment Plant - OEMs and Vendors: - Calgon Carbon Corporation (Filtrasorb 400 media) - Kuraray (Ultracarb media) - Xylem (instrumentation and water treatment equipment) - Products/Services Requested: - Two pilot skids, each with four testing columns (total of eight columns) - Filter media (Filtrasorb 400, Ultracarb, and others as specified) - Instrumentation and chemical injection systems - 500-gallon polyethylene equalization tank - Sodium bisulfite (dechlorination) system - Backflow preventer and appurtenances - Installation, commissioning, and connection to existing plant infrastructure - Demobilization and return of pilot equipment to vendor after study - Additional site visits and troubleshooting by media vendors as needed - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Pilot study must operate for approximately six months - Substantial completion of installation required within 60 days of Notice to Proceed - Demobilization to be completed within 30 days after pilot study - Compliance with prevailing wage, 100% payment and performance bonds, 5% bid bond - Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for late completion - City may communicate directly with media OEMs for technical support - Bids must be submitted electronically via the City's E-bid system

Description

The City of Georgetown is accepting sealed bids for the construction project involving furnishing, installing, and providing all labor and materials to construct, connect, and commission two pilot skids, including eight testing columns, media, instrumentation, chemical injection, equalization storage, and miscellaneous items.
