The City of Minneapolis Public Works Department is seeking bids for the supply and delivery of steel watermain pipe and associated fittings for the PL16 to PL18 Connection project at the Columbia Heights Campus. - Government Buyer: - City of Minneapolis, Department of Public Works - Products Requested: - 1,406 linear feet of 36-inch steel watermain pipe (supplied in 40-ft sections with special lengths as specified) - Ten spare 10-ft sections of 36-inch steel pipe - Steel bends for 36-inch pipe: - Four 1/8 bends - Two 1/4 bends - One 1/32 bend - Reinforcing collar for 36x48 welded tee connection - 48x36 reducer fitting - Flanged coupling adapter - 36-inch dismantling joint - DIP steel Victaulic movement joint (36-inch coupling) - 4,000 linear feet of 6-inch wide C209-19 cold-applied tape (in 50-ft rolls) - Four spare butt straps for pipe sections 10-ft or less - Notable Requirements: - All materials must be new and of the best quality; no alternates or substitutes permitted - Bidders must have at least 5 years of successful manufacturing experience for the specified pipe and fittings - 12-month warranty against defects is required - Submittals (including shop drawings and warranties) must be provided and approved prior to manufacture - Delivery is to be made to the Columbia Heights Campus and may be accepted in two shipments - Installation will be performed by the City - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - The contract is non-exclusive; the City reserves the right to purchase from other suppliers as needed
