FEMA Region 5 is seeking a small business contractor to provide comprehensive grounds maintenance and snow removal services for its Aurora, Illinois Annex. - Government Buyer: - Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Region 5 - Office: FEMA Region 5 Annex, 536 South Clark St, 6th Floor, Chicago, IL - Scope of Services: - Year-round grounds maintenance including: - Grass cutting, edging, weeding, leaf cleaning, soil aeration, mulching, fertilization, pruning, pest control, hard surface maintenance - Snow removal and deicing for approximately 6,000 square feet (sidewalks, parking lots, entrances) - Additional services: grading, planting, seeding, sodding, watering, vegetation cutting, trimming, stump grinding, arbor treatments, removal of dead plants, power washing, furniture maintenance, trash collection - Contract Structure: - Firm fixed price - Base year plus four one-year option periods (total potential duration: 5 years) - Each service (lawn care and snow removal) provided monthly (12 months per year per service) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Total small business set-aside - Emphasis on technical capability, management, past performance, and price in evaluation - Services must cover all seasons and weather conditions - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named; this is a service-based procurement - Line Items: - Lawn care and snow removal for base and each option year, with 12 service units per year per service
