This opportunity is for the upgrade of the generator control system at the U.S. Embassy Vienna, managed by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Tri-Mission Vienna Procurement/Contracting Unit. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassy Vienna, and U.S. Tri-Mission Vienna Procurement/Contracting Unit - OEMs and Vendors: - Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) is specified for the DSE8620MKII control system (or equivalent) - Hitzinger and MTU are referenced as the generator manufacturers - Products/Services Requested: - Removal and disposal of the existing ACON generator control system - Delivery and installation of a new generator control system (DSE8620MKII or equal) - Upgrade and site installation for the Hitzinger MTU 500kVA generator, including electronic upgrades (3-way valves, actuators, room controllers, insulation) - Commissioning, test runs, operator/customer training, and documentation - Provision of skilled and unskilled labor (10 hours each) - Provision of materials (estimated at 3,000 EUR) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Spare parts (hardware and software) must be available for at least 10 years - All work must comply with Austrian and German technical standards (ÖNORM, ETG, ÖVE/ÖNORM, DIN, VDI) - Work must be scheduled over a weekend (Friday evening to Sunday evening) to minimize generator downtime - Warranty period for the installed system is 3 years from final acceptance - Prohibition on use of certain foreign technologies and requirement for local licensing
Description
The upgrade of the generator control system consists of, but is not limited to the following:
Execution planning Decommissioning, Removal and disposal of existing generator control system Disconnection, removal and disposal of existing ACON Generator control system Delivery, installation and commissioning of new generator control system Delivery (HW & SW), installation and connection of new DSE 8620MKII (or equal) control system The Contractor guarantees spare parts availability (software and hardware components) for a minimum of 10 years. Commissioning, test run Customer training/documentation
Under the contract the contractor assumes full and unlimited responsibility for the right choice and correct workmanship of flawless material as well as for proper and professional completion. Upgrade MTU 500kVA- Generator Control system- work must be scheduled for a weekend between Fr, 5pm until Su, 7pm. Generator downtime must be always kept to a minimum.
