The Department of Veterans Affairs, North Texas Healthcare System, is seeking a contractor to deliver and install ballistic wooden doors at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System Research Vivarium in Temple, TX. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs - North Texas Healthcare System - Regional Procurement Office West (RPO-W) - Products/Services Requested: - Five UL 752 Level 3 ballistic wood core doors - Four narrow view doors - One half vision door - All doors must meet UL 752 Level 3 ballistic resistance and 15-minute forced entry resistance - Doors include TSS 003 low spall laminated glass with mirrored pane, Select-11 continuous geared hinge, LSDA DC6816BC surface mounted closer, and Schlage ND 80 series lever lockset (storeroom function) - Fabricated to fit existing frames - Installation services including: - Removal and disposal of existing doors and hardware - Installation and testing for compliance with VA Physical Security and Resiliency Design Manual Section 5.15.2.2 - Project management, logistics, and cleanup - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All doors must comply with VA Physical Security standards - Ballistic resistance (UL 752 Level 3) and forced entry resistance are mandatory - Installation must be completed within 30 days from Notice to Proceed
