This procurement opportunity from the U.S. Army Contracting Command at Watervliet Arsenal seeks a contractor for the replacement of feed water piping at Building 136. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Army, Installation Management, Public Works Division, Facilities Engineering (TAWV-IMP-F) - U.S. Army Contracting Command, Watervliet Arsenal - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; backflow preventers are government-supplied - Products/Services Requested: - Removal and replacement of approximately 70 linear feet of 4-inch black carbon steel feed water piping and fittings - Replacement of two backflow preventers (government-supplied) - Installation of 30 linear feet of 3-inch schedule 40 PVC DWV lines and fittings - Replacement of 4-inch butterfly valve for holding tanks and 4-inch OS&Y isolation valve for water softeners - Installation of new pipe fittings, flanges, gaskets, bolts, unions, and insulation (closed cell, 1.5 inch thick, with vapor barrier and PVC jacketing) - Pipe labeling as required - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Radiographic examination of at least 10 field welds, with removal and re-welding of unacceptable welds at no additional cost - Hydrostatic leak testing of all applicable piping systems, witnessed and approved by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) - Compliance with wage determinations and safety standards - Submittals required for safety plans, welding procedures, and radiographic test results - Project magnitude estimated between $25,000 and $100,000 - 100% payment and performance bonds required (performance bonds if quote exceeds $150,000) - Set aside for SBA - All work to be completed within 45 calendar days from notice to proceed, during normal duty hours, excluding federal holidays

Wage Determination General Decision Number: NY2, latest revision applies and is incorporated.

Magnitude of this Project is between $25,000 and $100,000

Period of Performance is 45 Calendar Days from receipt of Notice to Proceed.

100% Payment and Performance Bonds (Performance bonds only if quote is over $150k) are required
