The VA will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Governmentwide Point of Entry. General: Thulium Fiber Laser System

Description of Work: This statement of work defines the effort required for VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Healthcare System (VATVCBHCS), Operating Room Section of Surgical Service to procure a Thulium Premium Fiber Laser System at one (1) location. The Surgical Department in Harlingen is the location requesting the procurement of a Thulium Fiber Laser to enhance the capabilities and efficiency of urology surgical procedures to include soft tissue incision/ablation and prostate treatment. Thulium Fiber Lasers are medical lasers used for ureteric and kidney stone management, flexible ureteroscope. This diagnostic and therapeutic procedure allows for minimally invasive stone management without breaking the skin barrier. It conducts procedures diagnosing and treating soft tissue conditions, including the management of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). The proposed Thulium Fiber Laser System will reduce liability issues and increase patient satisfaction using the newest technology and quality standards.

Product Requirements for Thulium Fiber Laser System

Thulium Fiber Laser System must provide faster lithotripsy with less power. Thulium Fiber Laser System must have a maximum power outlet of 60 Watts and a maximum frequency output of 2400 Hz, and a maximum pulse energy of 6 J.A secondary. Thulium Fiber Laser System must have a swivel LCD Display screen Thulium Fiber Laser System must operate on emission wavelengths between 1920 – 1960 nm. Thulium Fiber Laser System must be compatible with a full line of surgical fibers and provide precision cutting of soft tissue. Thulium Fiber Laser System must plug into any standard wall outlet. Thulium Fiber Laser System must be cooled by air. Thulium Fiber Laser System must include a wireless footswitch. Thulium Fiber Laser System must include a laser cart and safety goggles.
