The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking contractors to provide historic preservation and architectural historian services for statewide transportation projects. - Government Buyer: - Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT), Contract Administration office - Products/Services Requested: - Historic preservation and architectural historian services - Conduct studies and evaluations to ensure compliance with: - Section 106 of the Historic Preservation Act - Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act - Act 250 - 22 VSA 14 - Identify historic and Section 4(f) properties - Assess impacts of transportation projects (roadways, bridges, bike/pedestrian paths, railroads, airports) - Draft compliance documents (review memos, Memorandums of Agreement, evaluations, inventory forms) - Recommend avoidance or minimization measures - Support programmatic and stewardship initiatives - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Ability to address a wide variety of historic properties - Provide guidance for both project-specific and long-term management or mitigation plans - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation

Description

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking historic preservation/architectural historian contractor(s) to assist in conducting historic preservation studies and evaluations to comply with various federal and state historic preservation laws. The contractor(s) will help identify historic and Section 4(f) properties, assess potential impacts of AOT projects, and draft related compliance documents. They may also suggest avoidance or minimization measures and support programmatic and stewardship initiatives related to transportation infrastructure projects across multiple modes. The work covers roadways, bridges, bike/pedestrian paths, railroads, and airports statewide in Vermont.
