Description

Requirement Description

The 354 FSS Bowling Center requires the acquisition of a commercially available bowling lane conditioning machine to support daily bowling operations and preserve the condition and longevity of the bowling lanes. The equipment is necessary to automatically clean lanes and apply predetermined oil patterns that ensure consistent lane playability, protect lane surfaces from premature wear, and support recreational bowling, league play, and tournament events.

Proper lane conditioning is essential to providing a safe, consistent, and enjoyable bowling experience for patrons while minimizing maintenance costs and extending the service life of the bowling infrastructure. Failure to replace the existing lane conditioning machine would result in deteriorating lane conditions, increased maintenance requirements, reduced customer satisfaction, and the potential suspension of bowling operations, negatively impacting Force Support Squadron morale, welfare, and recreation programs.

Minimum Technical Requirements

The bowling lane conditioning machine shall be a commercially available, battery-operated, self-propelled unit designed for commercial bowling center operations. At a minimum, the machine shall:

Independently transition between bowling lanes. Clean lanes using a sprayless cleaning system. Apply programmable and predetermined oil patterns. Include integrated Wi-Fi connectivity. Support mobile application integration. Provide access to and integration with oil pattern libraries. Utilize a Glide lane conditioning system. Include a tank light. Feature a removable vacuum motor. Include a large waste recovery tank. Provide an easy-change squeegee cartridge. Include a multi-adjustment squeegee. Support variable drive speeds. Include auto-aligning lane whiskers. Feature front safety object detection.

The equipment shall include all hardware, accessories, and components required for full operational capability upon delivery and shall support routine lane maintenance, league play, and tournament-quality lane preparation.
