The City of San Diego is seeking contractors for a major infrastructure project to upgrade and replace pressure reducing stations across multiple city locations. - Government Buyer: - City of San Diego, Engineering & Capital Projects Department, Purchasing & Contracting Department, Public Works Division - Project Scope: - Replacement, relocation, or abandonment of eleven existing pressure reducing stations - Work includes demolition, mechanical and civil installation, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and environmental compliance - Installation of precast vault piping, pressure reducing and relief valves, water valve bypasses, fire hydrant assemblies, various gate, plug, and butterfly valves, blow-off and air release valve assemblies - Concrete surface improvements, cathodic protection, and traffic control - Products & Quantities: - Multiple sizes and types of valves (gate, plug, butterfly, blow-off, air release) in quantities ranging from 1 to 18 per type - Precast reinforced concrete vaults and hatches - Concrete pavement (162 cubic yards), cross gutter (2,584 square feet), temporary resurfacing (70 tons) - Services: - Demolition and abandonment at 8+ sites - Community liaison, specialty inspection, paleontological and biological monitoring, dewatering, traffic control, engineered shoring, and utility potholing - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Project Labor Agreement with multiple unions - Prevailing wage and SLBE/ELBE subcontracting participation requirements - Confidentiality Agreement required for access to project documents - Contractors must identify subcontractors by role and separate base bid from alternates - OEMs/Vendors: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are named; opportunity is open to qualified contractors able to supply and install the required products and systems
