The City of Norfolk Public Works (Design & Construction) department is seeking contractors for Phase 1 of its FY27 Resurfacing Program, focused on asphalt pavement resurfacing at multiple locations in Norfolk, VA. - Government Buyer: - City of Norfolk Public Works (Design & Construction) - Products and Services Requested: - Asphalt (SM-9.5E): 1,637 tons for resurfacing - Type I (Surface) Patching (SM-9.5D): 400 tons - Type II (Base) Patching (BM-25): 400 square yards - Scarification and Re-Base (VDOT-21A): 400 square yards - Milling (Full Width, 2"-3" Maximum): 14,876 square yards - Installation of manhole rings (10 units) and pivoted manhole rings (10 units) - Installation of prefabricated valve box fixtures (2 units) - Traffic control services and rental of 4 variable message boards (weeks) - Pavement markings: 4” white lines (90 units), 4” yellow lines (240 units), 8” white crosswalk lines (180 units), 24” white stop bar lines (45 units), turn arrows (2 units) - Tree trimming (5 days) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Project is federally funded and requires compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act - Bidders must submit a 5% bid guarantee - Contract will be awarded to the lowest total bid - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation
