Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is seeking bids for large machine mowing and trimming services at the Perdido and Beulah Landfills in Florida. - Government Buyer: - Escambia County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) - Purchasing Office - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or named vendors are required or referenced in the solicitation. - Services Requested: - Large machine mowing and trimming of natural and planted vegetation on landfill areas, slopes (including those steeper than 3:1), roadside areas, pond berms, and terrace swales - Trimming around site appurtenances such as landfill gas wells, groundwater monitoring wells, boundary probes, vent pipes, and surface monitoring points - Maintenance of a minimum 4-foot trimmed radius around wells - Mowing of vehicle access to all wells - Removal of debris interfering with mowing - All work to be performed during daylight hours - Quantities and Scope: - Perdido Landfill: 93 acres of mowing, 6.25 acres of roadside mowing, trimming of 4 air injection pipes, 24 groundwater monitoring wells, and 8 landfill gas boundary probes - Beulah Landfill: 40 acres (South Cell) and 53 acres (North Cell) of mowing, trimming of 15 (South) and 16 (North) groundwater monitoring wells, 16 (South) and 16 (North) landfill vent pipes, and 31 (North) limits of waste markers - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Services must be performed monthly during the growing season - Contractor must comply with safety, insurance, and quality standards - Contractor is responsible for property damage repairs - Equipment must meet safety requirements - Contract Structure: - 3-year base term with two 1-year renewal options (total possible duration: 5 years) - County may extend the contract up to 6 additional months if needed

Description

This solicitation is for large machine mowing and trimming services at the Perdido Landfill and Beulah Landfill in Escambia County, Florida. The contractor will provide mowing of natural and planted vegetation on landfill areas, slopes, roadside areas, pond berms, terrace swales, and trimming around site appurtenances such as landfill gas wells, groundwater monitoring wells, boundary probes, vent pipes, and surface monitoring points. Services are to be performed generally monthly during the growing season, maintaining vegetation between 4 and 6 inches in height. The contract will begin on March 22, 2027, following the expiration of the current agreement on March 21, 2027.
