Caltrans, under the California State Transportation Agency, is seeking contractors for comprehensive demolition and clearance services in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Division of Procurement and Contracts, Bid Unit - Scope of Work: - Demolition and clearance of residential, commercial, and converted buildings, including garages, carports, basements, foundations, and flatwork - Specialized removal and disposal of hazardous materials: - Asbestos abatement and disposal (100 cubic yards; multiple removal tasks totaling thousands of square feet and linear feet) - Lead-based paint and material removal and disposal (500 linear feet for trim/molding and other surfaces; 100 cubic yards disposal) - Removal and disposal of PCB and mercury-containing fixtures (100 fixtures) - Environmental compliance services: - Development and implementation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Water Pollution Control Programs (WPCP), Sampling & Analysis Plans (SAP), Rain Event Action Plans (REAP), and annual reporting - Construction Site Monitoring Program (CSMP) - Storm water sampling and weekly inspections - Site preparation and restoration: - Backfill, grading, berming (500 tons) - Installation and removal of erosion control materials (fiber mats, rolls, hydro mulch/seeding, sand/gravel bags, silt fencing, straw bales) - Removal and disposal of trees, timber, poles, billboards, signs, and rubbish - Hourly rate for unforeseen demolition work - Licensing & Certification Requirements: - Valid California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) licenses: Class A, B, C-21, HAZ, C-31, C-13, C-57, ASB, and Asbestos Contractor Registration - Participation Goals: - 25% small business and 3% disabled veteran business enterprise (DVBE) - Estimated Contract Value: - Maximum bid of $484,000 - Period of Performance: - Estimated 3-year term, normal business hours, Monday–Friday, excluding State holidays - No specific OEMs or product part numbers are named; focus is on services and materials for demolition and hazardous material abatement.
