Description
The State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources Division of Mining, Land & Water Southcentral Regional Land Office has made a Preliminary Decision to offer a 30-year non-competitive negotiated lease and associated 30-year private non-exclusive easement to Fishhook Renewable Energy, LLC. The lease covers approximately 11 acres of land for the construction, survey, operation, and maintenance of a run-of-river hydroelectric project and associated facilities on Fishhook Creek in Hatcher Pass, Alaska. The public is invited to review and comment on this Preliminary Decision by July 29, 2026. The project includes an intake/weir structure, powerhouse, penstock, and buried transmission line connecting to the Matanuska Electric Association's existing transmission line.
